David Sands

Chief Executive - David Sands.
David graduated from Edinburgh University , joining Sainsbury's as a graduate trainee. David joined the family business in 1989 and helped open the second store in Methilhill and all subsequent acquisitions.


Lindsay Sands

Chairman - D Lindsay Sands.
Lindsay graduated from Edinburgh University , joining Safeway as a graduate trainee. Taking over from his father in the 1960's he was responsible for developing the Kinross store and has overseen the gradual expansion of store numbers.

Ewen Chisholm Chief Operating Officer - Ewen Chisholm.
Ewen joined the company in 2008, from HIM! Ltd where he was a client director. Prior to joining HIM! Ltd, Ewen spent 16 years at Spar Scotland retailer and wholesaler CJ Lang & Son .

Marj Sands

Director - Marjorie Watts.
Marjorie joined the business in 1988 straight from school. Marjorie has worked in all stores and at all levels, she is currently in the role of Regional Development manager.


Senior Manager - Ian Black.
Ian joined the business in 2005 having been Managing Director of a small chain of convenience stores in Central Scotland. He now works for David Sands as a Regional Development manager.

Senior Manager - Laura O'Brien.
Laura joined the business in 1999 and worked her way up from Assistant to her present position as Regional Development Manager responsible for Fresh Produce and Chilled Foods.



Stephen Brown

Development & Distribution Director - Stephen Brown.
Stephen joined the business in 1995 having run his own successful fresh food business.


Isabel Barclay

Senior Manager - Isabel Barclay.
Isabel joined the business in 2000 following a senior role in a major national fashion accessory chain. She is responsible for HR issues including; staff recruitment, training, payroll, Health & Safety and Food Safety.


Senior Manager -George Ezady.
George joined the business in 2010 having worked for Spar independent Sokolowski as Training Manager for 4 years and for CJ Lang before that as a Store Manager for 5 years previously. George has been in retail since he left school. He now works for David Sands as a Regional Development Manager.

Accountant - Sarah Cuthbert.
Sarah, a qualified accountant, joined the business in 2009. Sarah was previously a Group Finance Manager for Cairn Energy PLC.
